Driven by Purpose: Arleny’s Journey to Team Leader

Meet Arleny Valiente

Arleny Valiente’s journey into the world of real estate is a story of resilience, determination, and an unyielding desire to create a better life for herself and others. From her early years in Guatemala to leading a thriving real estate team, her life is a testament to the power of hard work and a positive mindset.

Arleny’s connection to real estate began at a young age. Spending much of her childhood in Guatemala, her family’s livelihood was deeply intertwined with rental properties. Her father managed eight rental units, and young Arleny often accompanied him to collect rent. This early exposure to real estate not only provided financial stability for her family but also sparked a passion in her that would shape her future. The experience taught her the value of financial independence and the potential of real estate as a vehicle for achieving it. She recalls, “I saw how that made us financially free, where the bills were paid, and my mom didn’t have to work so hard. And I was like, wow, I want to do this too when I get older.”

Arleny’s life took a dramatic turn when her parents divorced, leading her mother to move the family back to the United States in search of a better future. Despite being born in the U.S., Arleny faced significant challenges adjusting to life in a new country. With her mother starting from scratch as a single parent, the family struggled financially. “We started from nothing, nothing, nothing,” Arleny shares. These hardships fueled her determination to succeed. She vividly remembers the stark contrast between her life and that of her peers, which drove her to aspire for more. “I was like, I don’t want to live like this. There’s more to life.”

Arleny’s path to real estate was not just a career choice but almost a calling. Surrounded by friends and family who were already in the industry, she decided to obtain her real estate license. Her natural affinity for working with people, coupled with her childhood experiences, made real estate the perfect fit. “I really love that I chose this career because I make the process super exciting. When people work with me, they really have a great experience.”

However, the journey wasn’t without its challenges. Navigating the complexities of different client personalities and honing her negotiation skills were among the hurdles she faced early on. Through perseverance and a commitment to personal growth, Arleny has become not just an agent, but a trusted advisor to her clients.

Arleny’s success as a real estate agent naturally evolved into a leadership role. Initially part of a team, she quickly outgrew her initial environment due to her self-starting nature and impressive performance. When she eventually went solo, the demand for her services grew to the point where she needed help. This led to the unplanned yet organic growth of her own team, Eminent Property Group. “People were just magnetized towards me, and I just started recruiting them.”

As a team leader, Arleny is focused on creating the systems and processes she wished she had from the beginning of her career. She is passionate about training her team to maintain high standards in every aspect of their work, from how they dress and speak to how they treat clients. Her vision for Eminent Property Group is clear: to be a luxury team that delivers an exceptional experience, not just in terms of the properties they sell, but in how they make their clients feel. “Luxury is not about selling the most expensive houses, but in how we carry ourselves and treat our clients.”

Looking ahead, Arleny envisions expanding Eminent Property Group into two major entities: a sales team and an investment arm. The investment side of her business will focus on creating more inventory through buying, fixing, and flipping properties, with an emphasis on improving the community and providing exclusive opportunities for her clients. She is already laying the groundwork for this future, leveraging her partnerships and vision to make it a reality.

Arleny’s advice to those entering the real estate industry is simple: get started, and don’t do it alone. She emphasizes the importance of role-playing and practicing communication skills, as well as the value of joining a team. “Partner with a team because you’re definitely going to need to be held by the hand at first. You will be going crazy by yourself at first.”

Arleny Valiente’s story is one of transformation, from a young girl in Guatemala to a successful real estate leader in the United States. Her journey is a powerful reminder that with hard work, resilience, and a clear vision, it’s possible to overcome even the most challenging circumstances and achieve extraordinary success.
